London, a lovely walk down memory lane

A blog by Kel

We only had a couple of days to spend in London, but we filled it with some special memories. Went to Buckingham Palace, saw the changing of the guards, then wandered down Regents Street before a quick drink at the Cock Tavern (where Mart and I first met, 18 years ago). It hasn’t changed.

Then we jumped on the tube and got off at St Paul’s, walked across the Millenium Bridge and stumbled across my old stomping ground, The Anchor pub. Lots of good memories in the beer garden in the sunshine from my first days in London back in 2006.

Then we headed to Angel and took the girls for a walk down Camden Passage antique markets, before a lovely dinner at Frederick’s, where we were married 15 years ago. It’s still a gorgeous restaurant and it’s so special to be able to go back there whenever we visit London. Bonus: a 3-course kids meal was only 10 pounds!

Love you, London (and Martin Tidman isn’t too bad either) xx
